At SKOPE – Museum of Medicine and Health, we believe that health education begins with simple everyday gestures.
The T-shaped Plate is one such tool: it transforms scientific knowledge into practical and accessible choices, helping adults and children to compose balanced meals independently.
Created in partnership with Fundação Casa Hermes, NOVA Medical School and Costa Nova, the T-shaped plate intuitively shows how to organise each meal:
🔹 Half vegetables
🔹 A quarter cereals, tubers and legumes
🔹 A quarter protein
A piece that combines science, education and design — and reinforces SKOPE’s mission to bring health closer to the community in a simple, practical and inspiring way.
The adult and children’s versions are now available at the SKOPE store in Aveiro.
A suggestion that cares, teaches and leaves its mark throughout the year.
