To mark the launch of NUTRIR \u2013 the Food Literacy Programme, Skope \u2013 Museum of Medicine and Health welcomed Vera Cruz Primary School for a session dedicated to discovering how to put together more mindful meals.<\/p>\n
During the workshop, the group discussed healthy eating and each participant created their own plate based on the T-Plate \u2014 a physical and educational model that, in a simple and visual way, illustrates the importance of diversity across food groups in the right proportions for a balanced meal.<\/p>\n
There was also time to explore the importance of hydration, with a tasting of flavoured waters and teas made with ingredients from our garden.<\/p>\n
The pupils also had the opportunity to visit the museum, where they discovered interesting facts about the history of medicine: how babies were fed in the past, how healthcare has evolved, and some of the instruments used over time.<\/p>\n
The launch of this programme aims to strengthen food literacy in primary schools and contribute to greater knowledge and the adoption of healthy eating habits from an early age.<\/p>\n
