What a privilege to have had the chance to see the early conceptual stages of the museum and to now explore all its scenes from the perspective of my wheelchair. Spectacular experience visiting the museum! It’s very important and interesting to have the opportunity to learn about the evolution of medicine up to the present day. Science is always advancing, and we benefit from this progress. I have every admiration for healthcare professionals.

The visit allowed me to revisit medical practices from my past as a starting point for the present and future challenges of medicine.

Skope is a very interesting museum. The museum is housed in a beautifully preserved building that alone is worth the visit. Inside, the well-organised exhibits not only showcase the history of medicine but are also genuine works of art.

It was a doubly emotional experience. Both because I got to know the space and see it transformed into something special to honour the memory of Dr. Hermes, and because I was able to travel through the history of medicine, shared by thousands of objects that reveal so much about humanity. It’s a must-see in Aveiro.

It was an unexpected combination of sensory experiences and the acquisition of highly exclusive knowledge. A visit to this museum is also a fascinating journey into the way health professionals have cared for us all of us over the years and how they have constantly evolved.
