Movement, joy and wellbeing! – Culture that Cares Programme

That’s how we experienced another session of the Culture that Cares Project at Skope – Museum of Medicine and Health, where body and mind were put into action in a light, safe and cheerful way.

With simple and adapted exercises, each participant was invited to move at their own pace: stretching, coordination, light games and moments of relaxation set the tone for a dynamic session, consisting of seated and standing movements, lots of laughter and sharing.

Here, moving the body also stimulates the mind, reinforces confidence, promotes autonomy and creates bonds. Because caring often involves small gestures — and big smiles.

This is a project by the Casa Hermes Foundation and ITAU – Technical Institute of Human Nutrition, in collaboration with Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Aveiro, the beneficiary entity.
