Skope – Museum of Medicine and Health celebrated its 1st anniversary last Saturday, 18 October, with a series of activities open to the whole community, designed for children, families, friends and curious visitors.
Throughout the day, visitors were able to take part in guided tours, family challenges and a staged reading, which invited them to immerse themselves in the history of medicine and health.
Opened on 17 October 2024, it is a private museum created from the collection of a Portuguese doctor and collector, originally from Aveiro.
The space combines the tradition of a 19th-century ‘Brasileiro torna viagem’ style house with the modernity of interactive museography and landscaped areas that invite visitors to explore and discover.
