Continuing with the Cultura que Cuida programme, we held another artistic workshop session, where creating, playing and reminiscing proved to be simple and joyful ways to take care of the mind, body and emotions.
In this session, we drew on traditional games and childhood memories to bring to life a creative activity based on Jogo do Galo — a simple, timeless game full of meaning. Amidst conversations, memories and lots of smiles, the participants transformed this game into a handmade piece, in an atmosphere of true sharing and conviviality.
More than the final result, this moment valued memory, reasoning, imagination and the bonds created within the group, reinforcing the importance of culture as a path to well-being, participation and active ageing.
This is a project by the Casa Hermes Foundation, in partnership with ITAU, which brings care and culture to the users of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Aveiro.
We continue together, session after session, proving that caring is also creating, sharing and being present.
