Menopause is just a moment in time, but the transition that precedes and follows it can bring changes to the body and well-being.
It usually occurs between the ages of 45 and 55 and results from a progressive hormonal decline. Hot flushes, sleep disturbances, mood swings, vaginal dryness, joint pain, and metabolic changes are among the most common complaints. Every woman experiences this phase differently.
Small adjustments to your daily routine can help: a balanced diet, good hydration, regular exercise, adequate sleep and avoiding tobacco and alcohol contribute to protecting your bones, heart and mental health. If the symptoms affect your quality of life, it is important to seek help from your Family Health Team.
Menopause is not the end of vitality, but the beginning of a new stage that requires new care.
