Clear information, fearless questions and active participation marked another session of the Proteger Está nas Tuas Mãos (Protection is in Your Hands) project, dedicated to raising awareness among young people about sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
This time, we welcomed students from the Socioeconomic Sciences course at the Santa Maria da Feira Primary and Secondary School, who took part in a moment of reflection and learning about prevention, individual responsibility and the importance of access to reliable information.
The session was led by nurse Catarina Marta, whom we thank for her availability, clarity in addressing the topics and closeness in communicating with the students.
We also highlight the relevant testimony of teacher Cristina Alves, whose sharing reinforced the importance of these initiatives in a school context and the positive impact they have on civic education and the empowerment of young people.
These actions, aimed at secondary school classes and vocational courses, are part of the Casa Hermes Foundation’s commitment to promoting health literacy and education for informed choices.
The Proteger Está nas Tuas Mãos (Protection is in Your Hands) project continues to develop and remains available to secondary and vocational schools that wish to join this initiative.
