Health education has a greater impact when it becomes an open and shared conversation.
Skope hosted another session of the educational programme ‘Protect Yourself’, focusing on sexually transmitted infections (STIs), this time with students from the vocational course in Educational Action at Júlio Dinis Secondary School in Ovar.
Questions, sharing and attention marked this session dedicated to sexual health and STI prevention, held in a safe and taboo-free environment, where responsible choices, prevention and clear information were discussed — because learning is also about knowing how to take care of yourself.
The event benefited from the special collaboration of the Aradas Family Health Unit, whom we thank for their availability, scientific rigour and the approachable manner in which they conducted the session, contributing to a participatory and enlightening learning experience.
Creating these spaces for dialogue is essential for educating young people to be more informed, aware and prepared.
