Skope – Museum of Medicine and Health hosted another session of the active ageing programme developed by the Casa Hermes Foundation in partnership with ITAU – Technical Institute of Human Nutrition, aimed at users of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Aveiro.
The activity began with a guided tour on the theme of ‘Memory and Sharing’, during which participants explored objects linked to the history of health. Among discoveries, memories and emotions, the group rediscovered memories and gave voice to their life stories.
After the visit, there was a moment of socialising and exchange of experiences. A welcoming atmosphere of closeness and joy was created — highlighting how museums can be spaces of care, encounter and well-being for the senior community.
The Casa Hermes Foundation thanks all participants for their energy and enthusiasm, and Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Aveiro for integrating this programme into its activities.
This project reinforces the joint commitment of the Casa Hermes Foundation and ITAU: to put culture, science and care at the service of the senior community, promoting meaningful moments and a more active and fulfilling life.
